It was an absolute pleasure taking a part in your Ballet Fit® class. After having thirteen years of experience in ballet and not doing it for the past four years, I was immediately reminded and was thrilled to be doing it again in your class. Not only did you make it a completely comfortable and fun environment to be in, but you also really took your time with each and every individual who came to your class. Most of the people in the class that I attended had little to no ballet experience and it was inspiring and heart warming to see you break down the moves and encourage them to not give up. Ballet Fit® classes are so much fun that even though it’s an extremely challenging workout, you don’t realize it at the time-- not until the next day when your muscles are sore everywhere!
Coming from a classical ballet background when I was young, I was initially concerned that it would just be a “ballet inspired” workout, because there are a lot of classes out there that use ballet more for marketing than really underlying the core fundamentals of the movement. However, Ballet Fit® is a real ballet class, with emphasis on solid form and technique. It’s just got much more focus on cardio and toning than a traditional ballet class, and it’s set to music that is gorgeous, fun, and upbeat!
Teacher/founder Suzy’s warmth, positivity, and energy make the classes such a pleasure, despite what an intense workout they are. She has built a supportive community where trying new things and taking care of yourself are encouraged-- even people with zero dance background feel welcome, and we’re always being reminded to listen to our bodies.
I have given up punishing, repetitive workouts altogether for dance, and I’m happier and fitter than ever! Thank you so much, Suzy!

I am a full artist Dancer who sustained catastrophic injuries to the soft tissues surrounding my spinal column many years back that forced me to stop dancing. After ten years of intensive physical therapy I can now dance again. After one session of Suzy's classes (and I am no Ballerina! I am all male!) my neural pathways and muscle control are returning rapidly. The muscle memory is also returning and I no longer rely on painkillers. I approached Suzy Kaitman about six months ago as I wanted to get back into Ballet. I used to take dance lessons many years ago and I have missed it ever since. Ballet Fit® Classes became the perfect avenue for me to jump right back into it. The results have been absolutely wonderful. Ballet Fit® is an absolute gem for Vancouver. This is not another glorified aerobics class that happens to have a barre in the room, nor is it an intimidating ballet class where all the "beginners" are really ex-dancers. I am over the moon to have found such a fun and challenging workout that truly utilizes real ballet technique. Part of what makes Ballet Fit® so special is the instructor herself. Every single class Suzy is overflowing with positivity, enthusiasm and patience. You could't ask for a safer or more fun environment to be a adult ballet beginner!
